Flocking Services for Record Player Platters How many times do you have a beautifully cabineted portable or console record player that has a turntable platter that looks like this....Or...even worse..Rusted, stained, needle scratches and blemishes that make an otherwise perfect restoration project or just a clean up project, look incomplete. Well, because we restore record players, we found this true all the time and decided to do somemthing about it. We now have a complete reflocking facility to take care of those pesky problems. This is a platter out of a portable record player. The player was a beautiful Faux Alligator skin covering on a Symphonic record player which sounded great but when the lid was opened, this is what you saw.
Now that is pretty ugly.....Not as bad as I have seen, but bad. Now below is the same platter a few hours later.
Now I ask you..Which one would you prefer to sit your precious albums on?? The above is a standard 8" platter used on 90% of Portable tube type record players. Other record player platters range up to 12". | | | | | To get a better look at the colors, simply click on the picture.
