General purpose monural ceramic cartridge with 1/2" mount and .7volt output. replaces many vintage cartridges with no modification and can be modified to replace many others. Uses the "spade" type needle. The P51-1 has a .7mil sapphire stylus and the P51-2 is shipped with the 3mil 78 stylus. The needle on either can be replaced with either a 700-D7 which is a .7diamond needle for LPs and 45rpm records, or the 700-S3 which is a 3mil Sapphire needle for 78rpm albums. be sure and use the attribute box below to order it with the 1 or 3 mil needle. This is the latest version of this popular cartridge. Note that it has more output than the original and a more compliant tracking. It still uses the 8g tracking force. |
